Hello 2019!


Welcome 2019! I know it has been 2019 for like a month now. Oh well, better late than never. Happy New Year Everyone! 

{January of 2018}

2018 was wild. So much has changed for me in the last year. 2018 was full of hellos, goodbyes, and see you laters. I am going to do a little year in review just for fun. 


In January I took a short little trip to NYC with my dad! We got to see Once On This Island and The Play That Goes Wrong. 


In February I got to see my sister Annika star as Polly Baker in Crazy For You.

In March I went to San Francisco with all of my best friends and made the memories of a lifetime!

In April we had our annual family Easter Party.

In May I graduated High School!


 In June I turned 18! And so many of my favorite people came to support me on closing night of The Drowsy Chaperone. (Best birthday ever!)


In July I went to Las Vegas with my favorite gals.



In August I said some really hard goodbyes and moved to New York City (and started my blog :) )


In September I met lots of new friends.


In October I had a milkshake that was totally fetch.


In November I experienced Central Park in the fall.


In December I finished my first semester of school in New York!

And now it is 2019 and I am so hopeful for the year to come! I do not know what this year holds and looking further there are even more question marks in store. but I am so grateful for everything I have, and all of the opportunities I have been given. I am ready to grow, change, and become better. Thanks for everything 2018.

Home for Christmas

I was so happy to be home for Christmas this year, I missed my family so very much! I flew into Salt Lake on December 19th which was Annika's 16th birthday! It was amazing to get to see her on her birthday. My family was all there at the airport among the millions of missionary families. There were 18 missionaries on my flight from Chicago to SLC. I got to talk to an elder the whole way home! After meeting up with my family we headed to Downtown Salt Lake to stay overnight and just be together to celebrate Annika's birthday. I can't stop smiling just thinking about how great it was to see my family again! And getting to spend Annika's birthday with her was more than I could have asked for for Christmas. Being home I got to see so many people that I really have missed seeing all the time! One Year Older And Wiser Too

Happy Birthday to ME! My first birthday spent away from home, it had to come eventually. It was kind of sad that it fell on Father's Day though. I wish my dad and I could have been together for the occasion.  Because of good timing I got to have a whole week of NYC fun leading up to my birthday. Some of my Utah pals came out here on a little trip, and I would never miss out on an opportunity to see people from home. I was able to spend almost the entire week with them.  We went on a bunch of walking tours of the city and got to learn about the history of that area. That was really cool because a lot of the stories were things I didn't know. We also ate a ton of cheesecake, no complaints there. I got to see two Broadway shows!  Here's a fun little story. Bye Bye Birdie!

This semester our performance project was a production Bye Bye Birdie, in which I had the pleasure of playing Kim MacAfee. This was no ordinary production of Birdie however.   With this being a first year of a musical theater program at our school we only have studios for performing, whereas most MTP's have access to an actual theatre. So we got to do Bye Bye Birdie in one of our studio classrooms. This posed as a bit of a challenge due to limited space and no set, props, costumes, lighting, or even easy solutions for entrances and exits.  We rose to the occasion and our reimagined presentation of Bye Bye Birdie was a success. We used minimal costume pieces and props, acting blocks for set, a lot of creativity, and we asked for audience imagination. It was quite fun.
